Can anyone recommend a good hard drying paint and clear coat(rattle can)? I have been using Duplicolor primer, paint and clear and my cars always have impressions from the foam that is used to hold them in place. It happens when I use lacquer paint and clear also.I am about to send them in just bare wood Any suggestions?

I have the same problem, I think the heat is getting to the paint. I can't find a rattle can that works either. Two part paints don't have the problem I think but I don't have the time to airbrush all my cars. I may just masking tape the cars into the toob this time.

The best rattle paint can I've come across and use exclusively is Plastikote. The Sandable Primer is a lacquer base as well as the super lacquer clear. They both dry very fast to the touch. The clear has the most shine I have found in any rattle can. I have also been able to use them with several types of paints (base & color coats) with no ill reactions.
I know what you mean about the foam marks during shipping. The clear will need at least a week to cure hard enough. I try to use a soft cloth or tissue between the car & foam block when shipping.
The only place in Vegas I can find Plastikote paint is at Car-quest Auto Parts.
Hope it helps out.
