I want to begin by saying I blame absolutely no one at PDDR. This is an example of: 1 Poor design 2 Not carefully reading the rules 3 Extremely bad luck If any of you has had equally bad or worse luck please chime in, If for no other reason then to maybe make me feel better. 1 My Super Mod was a total flop. (not bad so far, right) 2 My Stock is DQ'd. (My fault entirely) 3 My one bright spot, my Slammer, which I expected no better then last did real well for a first try. *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** TODAY *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** I received my cars. For all of those people who don't do well and get down, even may want to give up. DON'T!!! There is always another race, another chance and another day. That Day May Be Your Day! I will now climb off my soap box (and hope not to trip) and let you all go back to your prep for that next race. Good Luck!!! [/img]

Sorry for your turn of luck. That car is a beauty and runs very well. Glad to hear that you are dusting yourself off and continuing.

I just inspected my cars and for what it is worth, the 2 tOObs and 1 Jewkes box work great for me. Maybe just luck but no damage in the limited time I have been racing here. See ya next month and good luck!

In hindsight I regret I claimed to have a truly fast car against the best guys in the world. If anyone should feel bad about the July race it should be me. Congratulations on your fast times, Bones. and sorry for for wasting your time LA Sound and Cecil Deluxe in the Ranger race. I will keep my mouth shut in the future . Corvid No wasted time Corvid, perhaps a rematch is in order. Maybe in Sept... LA, Jewkes, FAST and some others may join the fun! I have a few extra sets of Royal wheels. Anyone interested send me a PM and I will mail out what I have.

bones i am sorry to see this. i hope i did not have it screwed too tight, your box seemed to be a great shipping container...your steering wheel and dash was already broke out and the header was loose and you had a head light out as well when we received it... fix the head light for ya but it looks like your chassis is done... sorry to see this let me know if we can help.... If it makes you feel any better, that looks a lot like a chassis of mine that I had expected to send in for July but that "mysteriously" broke when I stepped out of my boy's room for a couple minutes when the track was set up in their room for testing. My guess is that one of the littlest little ones sat on it without even realizing they'd done it - I was working on other cars at the time and hadn't mounted the wheels or body on it when it cracked in half, pretty much as found in your picture. Hope you put her on a new chassis for September, love to see her again. Bubba

The Royal Racer wheels have evolved to be the standard around here at least. This summer there was a national race in Indiana to support missions throughout the world. Perhaps we can list the type of wheel used in the race like you do with the axles(needle vs bearing). This would give everyone a chance to improve their car for the local races.

Glenn, this place keeps getting better all the time I will send out a Royal Ranger kit to you on Monday.(LA,you want one too?) I want to give you the dowels, block and wood screws along with the wheels I send. There is not really a standard se[glow=red,2,300] t of rules. Rules are made up by each section/outpost. An official PDDR Ranger class would be sweet ;D If there is anything at all I can do to make it work just ask. I am going to get a hold of the District next week and will try to purchase a bulk of Ranger kits so they are readily available to builders here [/glow]that want to participate. Corvid BONES, SORRY FOR HIJACKING YOUR THREAD. The Royal Racers do have a set of national rules: royalracers.com/RACE.htm
