I called my painter friend Thursday. He said not to "waste" my money on Dupont. He said he uses the stuff he gave me, and that it must be something else. He told me next time I want to shoot a few cars to call him, and he will come over and do for me...that way we can rule out the "technique". He wants to see the compressor, gun, and spray conditions. Thanks for the replies! RC That's great RC ! Nothing beats having an expert give you first-hand advice.
However,I consider using the best materials I can afford an investment not a waste
Just my opinon.......... ;D

RC Dupont is "not" a waste of money <----------------------- David...were you ever able to get a number for you Dupont rep? If so Can you ask him if I can give him a call and forward his number to me? My painter friend is a friend from church, and I think that he thinks he's looking out for my best interest, and doesnt want to see me spend a lot of money when "he believes" that the Dupont is no better. Im having a hard time finding this stuff, it's not available on line, and Im running out of options on where to turn. Thanks RC

There is also a fairly new Dupont called HC-7600 I think. Ive also heard that House of Kolor makes a great clear. Try searching online for Dupont 7600 or HC-7600

Try searching online for Dupont 7600 or HC-7600 Rick advised me that it would be hard to find online and I would have to be care that it is the real stuff....that's why I wanted to find a local dealer. ALSO, If I talk to a dealer directly, he can advise me on the best product for my heat and high humidity down here. I want to go with with the chromaclaer and a SLOW activator. David was gonna try to get me a number or talk to HIS rep. Thanks. RC

I don't know what kinda of clear you are using, from experience I don't like to use no name brand paint products... Most cheaper clears will solvent pop easier than other top brands Well, if you saw my other post, you know that I DID switch to the Dupont Chromaclear 7900 with the SLOW activator. Pictures of the outcome are listed......What an UNBELIEVABLE difference. My painter friend that uses the stuff that was a FLOP from me swears that what he gave me is a "decent" brand. IF that IS true, maybe the activator was bad. If it is not true, well, doesnt matter, because Thanks To you guyz, I may have found the answer.

Have you sprayed anymore Dupont? The earlier pics looked pretty DARN good. If I spend another $100 on something pinewood related, I think my wife is gonna kill me but Im wanting to get some base coat colors from dupont.
