I know that there is a Hob-E-Lube by Pinecar. Typical black and white tube and found on several pinewood derby vendor sights. I have also ran across another Hob-E-Lube graphite with moly in a totally different package. Are they the same or are they two totally different graphites marketed under the same brand name?

Seems they are the same thing. Both are manufactured at the same place. The Pincar brand is packaged for Pinewood Derby applications while the Woodland Scenics brand is more catered to model railroad enthusiast. That's how I stumbled on it since I love my Postwar Lionel.

We had a guy try running John Deere implement graphite (the kind used in planters) on his kids two cars this year. It actually worked pretty well, considering how big the chunks were! His car started off slow, and he ended up finishing 2nd and 3rd overall! No kidding!
Not really anything to do with Hob-e-Lube, but it was just funny to see this farmer with a 2 quart jug of graphite lubing his kids car...
