I've been trying to find a way to improve upon my current PS Times. My best single run this season was a 2.991. Trying to improve on that has been a struggle. I've built and tested 3 new car bodies this season. My latest shows potential but I will not know until October. I spent most of the weekend testing some new waxes and wax blends. Nothing has delivered the speed I was hoping to achieve. There are just so many factors in making a consistently fast car. I've pulled off a few fast runs but nothing I could reproduce 4 or five runs in a row. Spent a good bit of time *** TODAY *** trying to keep my new Pure Stocker smooth out of the transition. I must have went full circle a few times today trying different COG's and steer amounts. I think I've reached the law of diminishing returns on my tweaking. Wheel bore prep is so important, I learned that this weekend. My only advise to anyone in the same boat is keep a clean work area and give all your steps plenty of time to cure. The ___ process is just hard to beat. Trust me I've tried all weekend with zero success. Going to shelve my research for now and return to the ___ method for my final preparations for October. See you guys on the track.....hopefully I will have something that puts up a fight ;D.

You send some great cars Reso, I'm sure this race will be no different. Thanks Freaky, I've had a good run this season for sure! You know chasing Sub 3.0 has always been a big part of my PDDR experience. Now that I've hit that goal consistently it's time to set the bar just a bit higher. Running in the .98x's in pure stock is an elite club. If I'm not mistaken only 9 racers have been able to run that average during a race this season. I'm up for the challenge for sure, I just need to push myself a bit harder to unlock a few more pieces of the puzzle. I learned a bit more today about COG and Steer that has me re-thinking a few things. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with the entire Pure Stock division in October. It is going to be an all out run for the finish line!

i feel your pain Reso, i spent all afternoon tweeking cars. my PS car was the worst!! i realy wanted to chuck it across the room at one point! i would get 3 runs all the same or within .001 and start getting happy about it and then the next run would be .007 off! i chased my own tail for almost 90 minutes on just that car. but i finally got it better than it has run and a definite sub 3 car. not what i was hoping for , but 3/4 the way there.( i wanted a full .010 from last month, i got a full .007.)
