have a few questions
1. what is the best way to bevel the axle head? Im currently using a rough file and a drill press but im thinking there has got to be a better way. the post on the axle end up getting scratched up
2. what is the best way to cone inner hub on awana wheels? What i have been doing for these is hooking up a white pad to my dremil. When I'm finished it almost looks like it was done with a chisel its not rounded all the way around
3. what does this term mean (Least amount of run out on wheels.)
thanks guys KB

KB, Are you getting ready for a race? If so post your complete rules here. Like 5 kids said a small file to bevel the head. First smooth out the outside of the nail head. Then you can put a little oil on your fingers and use the axle head as a guide to control your file at slow speed. Put a small grove right where the head meets the axle. Polish up and your ready to go. But if your rules allow the Jewkes line of axles are cheap and fast after polishing.
