My dad and my son went to an auction saturday and I opted not to go in order to finish getting cars ready to ship out. Low and behold when they got back and told me what I missed, I was sick. The following list of items were sold in one lot all together for the low sum of just $1000. 1 - Sherline mini lathe (manual control) 2 - Sherline CNC mini lathe w/computer 3 - Brand new still in the box unopened Sherline CNC lathe 4 - Sherline Milling machine (manual control) 5 - Sherline CNC Milling machine brand new in the bow 6 - all attachments, cuttings tools and complete works to boot. If they would have only called. I would have kept the two new CNC machines and sold the rest.

I've been following sherline on ebay lately, that was an amazing deal.
Last week on ebay a like-new proxxon kt70 and vise went for $65. I tried to bid with 6 seconds left but the confirm page lagged upon loading and the auction was over.

It was a deal for some lucky person. I bet all that equipment would cost several thousand if purchased new.
When I bought my Sherline 4000 off ebay, I got it for around $250. It seems as though now the price for them has increased to the $300 to $400 range. I was use to using the Sherline since my dad has one downstairs in his clock shop. He didn't mind me cutting axles, but didn't want all the plastic from cutting wheels all over the place. So I just got my own. ;D
