How much do you think weight reduction (hollowing out) the underside of your plank style car body effects aerodynamics. Does it even play a part at all?

Reso, I have heard up to 0.02 seconds... I have never tested it however. Hopefully someone will chime in on this one. There are lots of papers, tapes, plywoods that can cover the bottom... If it is 0.02 seconds I will cover the bottom of CoalCar!!!

I hear you W....Coal Car is so close! After much thought I decomishioned "Worn Out" last night. I did have an issue with my rear right tire not riding to the head of the axle. Even if I fixed it and made some more adjustments I'm not sure I could pick up the speed I needed for a Sub 3.0 average run. I'm going to build some new Pure Stockers for August. I think I have the body design finalized. I may send one in to run as a Stocker in July, just to see how it does on the PDDR track.

Reso,
Worn Out is too cool to retire!!!
I really like the paintjob.
I would not change too much on the new car style. It looks like you had it right with Worn Out.
Did you CANT the rear axles?

W,
Rear wheels were canted. I think I buggered the axle allignment during the post build set up. I need some axle pullers from Max V. I could fix the problem I guess I want to build some new cars ;D. The relic paint job will re-appear on "Worn Out 2". I havn't decided on a theme for my other two pure stockers yet.

Reso,
I am glad the Worn Out paint theme is returning!!!
It just wouldn't be right to have it any other way!!!
