[glow=red,2,300]Here's a new one I have been working on. I named it MOJO. Should have named it PAIN IN MY BUTT, because the paint job stinks. I had a terrible time getting color on it. After several days fighting with it, I gave up on trying to get Paint Ninja quality, shot the clear on it, and let it go.[/glow]

Nice!!! Did you make those wheel flares out of balsa? Did you ever test it with and without the wheel flares? Just curious.

Next time they will be pine as the balsa is so porious, it is hard to work with and get smooth without adding body filler which will add weight which will then kinda defeat the purpose of using the balsa in the first place. I didn't test without, I am working with a machinist to cut me out some plastic fenders to go with the arrow add ons. I think the fenders will make a huge difference in areodynamics.

I think the fenders will help out Scott. Seal off that backside of the wheel. I just got in some Delrin yesterday and that will be a project of mine also down the road, making some fenders as well as trying my luck at making wheels.
My son is big into aerospace, rockets, planes and whatnot and he wants to build a wind tunnel this summer for a science project. Complete with smoke and all. Looks like aerodynamic stuff will be in the future for us. ;D Just got to figure out how we want to do it.

I hope it works for you... I think Glen did something similar at blue grass last year
