COM = Center of Mass
COG = Center of Gravity
The Center of Gravity of an object is the average location of it's weight. In a uniform gravitation field, it coincides with the object's center of mass.

FDW ='s Front dominant wheel. This is the front wheel that either bares all or most of the front weight of the car. Usually associated with the 3 wheel rail riding cars. The FDW is the wheel you would steer into the rail via a bent axle.

PW ='s Pinewood Widow. This is a spouse that in no way understands how you can have a love affair with a piece of wood.

W Racing,currently our rules state "the slots in the block may be used" with the word "may" being the operative word. Our recent district derby showed the top six finishers with my two boys being in that top six all ran extended wheel bases. The father of the fourty first finisher out of fourty one entries raised the roof stating an unfair advantage, so that being said we have an upcoming district committee meeting to "reevaluate" the rules.
