From reading several different post, it looks as if this is going to be a very large Slammr run this month. ;D That is GREAT! I just put the finishing touches on Rebel Yell over the weekend. It's ready to go. It will be running graphite, no more oil for me for a while.

I know I have never raced with you guys yet, but the Slammer bug has bitten me and my boys! ;D I just thought maybe any year truck would be kinda cool..

I've got a Mack DM600 kit sittin' on the shelf that I can't seem to get around to... Might have to customize it a bit to make it fit LOL. Or an old '66 Ford 4x4 like the pic in David's slideshow from a couple weeks back. Bubba

Andy
They look great, the two tone white and yellow turned out really good.
You got a whole fleet of chargers going on. Looks like a big class of chargers for May.

Hello...I have a question for Andy Lester...not wanting to get your secrets or anything just that i was looking at your pictures and noticed that your front has a slight indention at the axle. What is this for? I'm new here and thought it was a odd? that it would be set in like that. It's a open question to whoever wants to answer. Thanks to everyone here. This is the place to race.

I'll take this one Andy, since I believe it was you who explained it to me once upon a time. I'd like to share what I have learned. My friend, the reason for the indentation in the frame (usually 1/16 to 1/8" max) is quite simple actually. I will assume you are familiar with the term rail riding - where the front dominant wheel (FDW) actually steers toward the center guide and very gently rubs all the way down the track, thus keeping the car from bouncing back and forth all the way down the track and scrubbing off speed. By indenting the FDW, it will run into the guide before the rear wheel does. Assuming the car is aligned correctly the rear wheel will stay away from the guide whatever the wheel is indented, 1/16-1/8", and not rub. One wheel rubbing is good - Two wheels rubbing is bad. How'd I do? Its nice to give information for once, usually I'm the one asking the questions.
