Emerson, I already have every tool on that list, except for 'Air City Axle Tool' what is that?
Also, I have a oscillating drum sander-hardly ever use it. The $99 Disc/Belt sander way more useful- IMHO

Just a thought on a couple of tools. Glen bought "the fastest PWD car" listed on e-bay and had it at our last race. The wheels had obviously been "shaved" around the perimiter and were anything but smooth. If that was done with a shaver tool it really didn't do a very good job. A lathe or drill press could have done a much better job.
I have the pro body tool and found that the holes drilled with it were too close to the bottom of the car for my liking so I had it modified by a friend who works at an aircraft plant. It still has a drawback and unless you have a twisted piece of pine you can't make a 3-wheel car. Just as well use a good carpenter square to locate holes.
All in all, I think what I would ask for is a little more patience but I haven't found a store and most likely couldn't afford it anyway!

Forgot to mention that the "e-bay" car was expensive but not impressive. Look at the "Pure Stock" results, it almost came in last place. I used to teach fly tying for fishing. The one thing I learned is that marketing uses bright colors and big promises to catch fishermen and not to catch fish. Much of the same applies to some tools and gadgets for sale in our sport.

First tool I would buy is a drill press... you can buy a nice drill press at your local hardware store for about $99.00 plus tax... 2nd tool I would buy is a dremell... 3rd tool I would buy is a bench band saw... again $99.00 at your hardware store... 4th tool is a high speed drill and big vice that will hold it... 5th and last tool that you could buy, but you do not need because I have done the work for you is a lathe... $500.00 - $40,000.00 depending on what you want your wheels to look and run like... 2fast4u

I already have every tool on that list, except for 'Air City Axle Tool' what is that? It is a tool to pull out the axles so you don't have to yank on the wheels to pull it out. It works ok, but if the gap on your wheels it too tight the tool won't fit under the axle head. ;D

I am looking to purchase a drill press for drilling the axle holes. I have found Mills, Precession Mini Drill Presses with .0001 run-out, Midrange Drill Presses and the Home Depot $99.00 presses I would like to know of a brand and model that works well for this purpose. I do have a Taig Mini Lathe for wheels however I plan to purchase wheels and axles from Glenn for this level of competition.
