Week of May 23 God does not want us to merely exist. He desires for us to live a life full of excitement, and that comes when we surrender to Him. Learning humility, which comes as a result of the pain that we face, builds our character. No problem is going to stop God's plan for you. Every day, we have a choice to look at our problems, either as blessings or challenges. Love needs to be our guiding motivation in everything we do. We have the privilege of honoring God and placing Him first. ;D ;D ;D Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God's Son does not have life.

Week of May 30 Memorial Day is a holiday- a day to celebrate, have family fun, and fellowship with one another. While remembering those who have given their lives, we should also create memories with those around us.
Celebrate this Memorial Day weekend, and don't forget that true life comes from knowing Jesus Christ !! ;D ;D ;D
And I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds follow them"

Week of June 6 ;D ;D ;D God is for you. T oday,at this hour, at this minute, as you read this sentence. No need to wait in line or come back later. He is with you. He could not be closer than He is at this second. His loyalty won't increase if you are better, nor lessen if you are worse. He is for you.
God is for you. Turn to the sidelines; that's God cheering you on. Look past the finish line; that's God applauding your steps. Listen for him in the bleachers, shouting your name. Too tired to continue? He'll carry you.
God is for you. If He had a calendar, your birthday would be circled. If He drove a car, your name would be on his bumper. We know He has a tattoo, and we know what it says- " I have written your name on my hand" (Isaiah 49:16a)
God is for you ! ;D ;D ;D

Week of Jun 27 We are commanded by Jesus to be witnesses to those who are lost. The bottom line is that we can't be an effective Christian unless we are winning souls to Christ. We, who have heard the good news, and experienced freedom through Christ, are responsible to proclaim it to others still enslaved by sin. Invest yourself into someone else's life by being a change agent for their eternal destiny. ;D ;D ;D "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20 NIV

Week of Jul 4 From the beginning, the challenges our founding fathers faced were for the simple purpose of enjoying the privilege of worshiping our Heavenly Father, and not being bound by a state religion. Our sole dependence, by word of the founding fathers, was upon God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The America that our earthly fathers believed in was one that acknowledged God. There was a sense of worship that related to honoring God in most all faiths. We must return to relying on God and not on governments or earthly leaders. America's founding fathers knew this and created the greatest country on earth ! God Bless America Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

Week of Jul 11 The language of faith is not please, but thank you. When we give thanks to God in every situation, change happens. Perhaps the greatest change is inside us. We begin to notice our blessings - even the small ones. Hope flourishes. Perspective sharpens. We can see more clearly what's truly important - what needs to be done. We give God an opportunity to work His miracles within us & outside of us. ;D ;D ;D And you will always give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 5:20 NLT

week of Jul 18 ;D ;D ;D What is a miracle ? A miracle is an unexpected event attributed to divine intervention.
Miracles have a purpose, and that purpose is that God would be praised and that lives would be changed.
When we receive miracles, we are to give God praise, to worship Him, and to make deeper commitments. ;D ;D ;D
Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:30-31 NIV

Week of Aug15 Every person has a past, a present, and a future. Each of us has a destiny that will be determined, not by our circumstances, but by our choices. The miracle is that we can choose God. Often, in life, we miss great opportunities because we focus on the rational facts. However, with spiritual issues, very little makes sense because of the faith factor, or the mystery. Without the proclamation of resurrection, the gospel has no miracle factor. Because of the resurrection, we can proclaim, with confidence; "Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life"

Week of Aug 22 ;D ;D ;D By nature, we were created to be independent. However, when we become a follower of Jesus Christ, we make a willful decision to lay our lives down. When total trust is evident in our walk with the Lord, we live in the realm of hope. Hope seeds excitement and inspiration. The mark of a real disciple is dependence on Jesus, and allowing Him to lead us wherever He desires. And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Week of Aug 29 ;D ;D ;D We all meed mercy, Because we all stumble & fall and require help getting back on track. We need to offer mercy to each other and be willing to receive it from each other.
Many are reluctant to show mercy because they don't understand the difference between trust & forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting go of the past. Trust has to do with future behavior.
Forgiveness must be immediate, whether or not a person asks for it. Trust must be rebuilt over time.
If someone hurts you repeatedly, you are commanded by God to forgive them instantly, but you are not expected to trust them immediately & you are not expected to continue allowing them to hurt you.
Sometimes we hurt each other intentionally and sometimes unintentionally, but either way, it takes massive amounts of mercy & grace to create and maintain fellowship. ;D ;D ;D

Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Colossians 3:13 NLT

Week of Sept 5 ;D ;D ;D Religion is man's attempt to work his way to God; man's attempt to set his own rules & guidelines that are non-scriptural, rather than understanding the power of God's grace and mercy.
The root word for religion means "bondage". God did not send Jesus, the supreme sacrifice, to place us in bondage, but to set us free. To give us an opportunity to serve Him, to love Him, and to know Him in a very intimate way.
Each of us, without the Spirit of God abiding in us, is a religious individual. There is no way to the Father except through the Son, Jesus Christ, and if we confess our sins, He is faithful & just to forgive us. ;D ;D ;D
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing.
Galations 2:21 NIV

Week of Sept 19 ;D ;D ;D When Jesus died, He paid the price, once and for all.
As believers we are justified by faith in Jesus Christ. Justified, or justification, means: Just as if I had never sinned
We are justified by faith, washed clean in the blood of Jesus. Let's face the reality that only Jesus Christ can forgive us of our sins, and not the power of religion. ;D ;D ;D For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in Him are made right with God.

Week of Sept 26 As Christ's followers, we are called to be His ambassadors. We are to testify that God has reconciled the world to Himself through His Son, who lived, died, and lives again ! Our personal responsibility is to reveal who God is by the way we live and the choices we make. When we let ourselves be instruments in God's hands, He blesses the undeserving, strengthens the discouraged, provides for the needy, and offers saving grace to those in spiritual darkness. He rewards us richly when faith leads to obedient acts. We will not only see Him working, we will also grow closer to Him. So you see, it isn't enough just to have faith. Faith that doesn't show itself by good deeds is no faith at all - it is dead and useless.
James 2:17 NLT

Week of Oct 3 Real servants pay attention to needs. Servants are always on the lookout for ways to help others. When they see a need, they seize the moment to meet it. When God puts someone in need right in front of you, He is giving you the opportunity to grow in servanthood. We miss many occasions for serving because we lack sensitivity and spontaneity. Great opportunities to serve never last long. They pass quickly, sometimes never to return again. You may only get one chance to serve that person, so take advantage of the moment ! ;D ;D ;D Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity we should do good to everyone- especially to those in the family of faith,
