Any tips on inserting the brass bushings? Is it concave side facing in? How do you make sure they are crooked?
A little nervous about shoving them in those fragile SuperStock wheels. Any tips appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

Put the bushing on a axle (pin) first, the use the pin to hold it in place (in the bore) and carefully push bushing in with your fingernails. On mod wheels I had to tap it in very lightly by hitting axle with a tiny plastic hammer.

On mod wheels I had to tap it in very lightly by hitting axle with a tiny plastic hammer. mod wheels even easier... put the brass bushing down on a clean work bench. with taper sticking up flat side down... then center wheel hub over the taper part. then press down with fingers... wala... insert done... super stockers inner hub needs to BE cut down to small hub hole. then do the same thing as mod wheel... out side hub push in with finger tips or finger nails tell flush... taper goes in 1st with all wheels.... hope this helps... OR HAVE ME DO IT FOR YOU!!! ;D ;D

Does anybody have a good method of polishing the wheels with Brass Bushings, for Spr Mod & Spr Stk. I.e. I want to polish the insides of the brass inserts. But How? So far, the only thing I have done is polish the axles, and run the bushings as is. ----- I'm even wondering if those DerbyWorx wheels that use tiny pins might be easier to prep?

Is there any prep to the brass bushing and the axle in these classes? If there is what do you use to polish the brass bushing?
