hey all,
seems like lately all of my coms are getting too close for comfort. on my 2 builds for the AUG race they are both about 3/8". i will be running them down the track for the first time tomorrow. i hope i can get them to run straight, but usually i shoot for 5/8" or 3/4". IF i can get a straight run , will there be a noticeable speed increase?
thanks, bri

DNA,
I've noticed on your Old School build that it looks like you have all four wheels touching? With a COM less than 3/4" it is going to be difficult to stabilize the car for a smooth run. Setting the car up for rail riding is one part of the equation to tame an aggressive wheel base.

just looks that way, front right is touching left is up. i diddnt have a whole lot of choice with old school the heavy wood made it hard to have a good com, rerun was already set up that way. bri

Once you start tuning you'll find that happy medium. Some cars can still be very fast with a little wiggle. I'm sure your new cars are going to run just fine. Let me know how they turn out after you test today.
