Well, it took long enough, but old school is done ;D i put a good 15 coats of Legend "wax" on. Hand rubbed them all. the com is about 3/8" will do track tuning tomorrow. no stains were used, just the legend. the wheels are the Dynasty Rage Xtreme's from ___. The axles are 91SGA's from Jewkes. The wood is from a OLD 1962 1st place go-kart trophy, It is mahogany. If i can get it to run straight it should be a beast. hope ya like the pics. bri

Are all four wheels touching the track? The only reason I ask is because you have a washer on both front wheels.
By the way "Old School" should be the next "Car Of The Week" it turned out awesome. You did an excellent job from start to finish you should be proud.

DNA,
Nice craftsmanship, design, and finish on Old School. Was the Mahogany wood easy to shape?

DNA, Nice craftsmanship, design, and finish on Old School. Was the Mahogany wood easy to shape? Firenze it was not as hard as i thought it would be, it sanded most excellently, the biggest problem is it has a big grain with lots of pores in it. I am not familiar enough with wood working on that level to use the proper sealer. for you, i am sure it would not be a problem. ;D also, it is freakishly strong allowing the small profile. thanks for you praise. bri

Bri, I think your car turned out excellent! It looks really good, and I like the Orange wheels. I'm hoping to have DB2 ready for paint tomorrow.
Great job Bri!
