for the mahogany car i am doing, i want to leave it raw. I was going to drop 3 or 4 coats of clear on it, but i started thinking.....would a few coats of Legend wax look good?

Here are a couple of pics of two cars I made out of Mahogany. The first is my modified that was rubbed down with dark tung oil and nothing else. I put on about 4 coats and let it soak in 24 hrs between applications. The second here is a Pure Stocker that was rubbed with light tung oil and applied the same way. The oil didn't change the overall weight much at all.

Not a picture of a derby car, but here is an example of guitar amp cabinet that I built. It is finished with a stain and a wood wax. I really liked how it turned out.

Sorry for the derail . This was the first tube amp I built....It is a 6v6 version of a Non-HRM Dumble Overdrive Special. It was a kit offered by Brownnote amps. Basically a modified fender like you said . Ok lets get this thread back on track!
