Besides the standard wheel base for a derby car what other length wheel bases have proven to be winners over the years? What are the different length wheel bases for the different classes that are run at PDDR? I can't tell from the pictures what wheel bases are.

Rear axles always as far back as possible....
COM 5/8-3/4" for scout wheels
Can be 1/2" for Mod (Dont cant the rears on a mod)
Wheelbase is anywhere from 4 3/8" to 5 3/4"
I recomend for boyscouts (who dont have mentorship of a league racer) full wheelbase. Actually set fronts back 1/4: to protect wheels...
For league racers shorter wheelbases are the thing...

5" wheelbase is popular.
W's advise is good on going further if you don't have a league racer or test track available to assure stablity.
