I really thought we had that post about ties.... I'm really sorry for the confusion.
My bad.
In case of a tie for 9th place the one with the fastest single run for the season will break the tie. Also if a builder steps down and doesnt race in the top 9, then the list is bumped up and the next one in line takes 9th.
We use a 3 lane track and wanted to keep the number of cars used for even racing. A 9 car field keeps the excitement level up and allows more people in the finals.
This is why 9 builders are important and no more.
I will try and post a video clip of how the King of the Hill race is run. It is a different format than the points season. It is heads up racing...
For the new builders that are not sure how the race is run about 5:46 runtime into the video will demonstrate how the race is run. This video explains how it works for a 4 lane track we use a 3 lane so just remove the 4th lane spot. This should give you and idea how it works. I need a better updated version...
Just ask some of the guys that have been to one of the King of the Hill Tournaments and they will tell you about the incredible excitment level that happens with this type of format. No time averages just straight up heads up Drag racing... To name a few... Cam Car Racing, DaPine Racing, MB4hire, Bones, Carolina Gravity Sports... the list is long...
Any more questions please ask. 2009 Pure Stock King of the Hill 2009 Super Mod King of the Hill

If your up to it and can swing it this year....
Maybe Goat Boy Products will let you slide in the 9th place spot and send in "Zoom Zoom" again...
Would love to have ya... but that will be up to him.
Yeah, that would be cool. Need to puts some new shoes on her, but that wouldn't take much. Just let me know what Ian says.

Can someone confirm the date for KOH? I thought I saw a different date than the one listed. Just so I know how much time I have to get my car ready. I have a good feeling about this race - I really believe I have a top 10 car.

Ok lets stick to the facts. I did not go off on the Jewekes boys I simply challenged Glen to a race. It got out of hand as usual. I said I am sorry. I am. I am not racing KOH. No problem. I finished #1 for the year in pure stock against the best racers in the land. I can live with that fact.

rahal, We all fly off the handle sometimes. With two boys in their teens it's a daily thing for me. I'm sure as you've said it was you who found the secret ingredient in making the oil fast for you. It might have been better to say that with your process in combination with Jewkes Engineering products that ultimate speeds are accomplished. After all you do use JE products and we are on a JE site. I certainly respect the JE line of speed products. Without them I would still be running over 3 seconds in PS. In the beginning I used that other guys stuff and compared to the JE line it was crap.

I agree 100%. I have always run JE products. And anyone who ever came into the shop knows that I always pushed the products. Don't get me wrong, I respect all Glen has done for the sport and me personally. And I think David is the best painter bar none. If anyone got the idea that I felt any different by any thing I have said then I really am sorry. I have had the privilege of working with the best of everything since I started. I think the competitive side of my nature comes out much too strong and brings out the worst in me unfortunately. But that is just how I am. If I am on the other team in any sport, then you better bring it cause I will be out to take your head off to win. For that I do not apologize. It is that drive that enables me at my age to still climb the tough mountains or get on my bike and ride all out for 50 miles etc. I know I come on too strong in alot of ways but if you knew me then you would know that I am usually always just razzing or crap talking like on the hard court. I grew up in a very tough part of El Paso and that is just how it was and you better be tough if you wanted to survive. I am a product of that environment. At times, though I have tried very hard to change, that part of me still comes out. I hate it when it does and when I act like a sob but it still happens at times. All I can do is continue trying to improve myself,be a better person. And believe it or not I am trying. And so to each of you I have offended in any way I do apologize.

Packed up pure stocker last night and placed in mail *** *** *** TODAY *** *** *** . Just wanted to do my part in sending in a place holder ;D For Immediate Release As a side note, this will probably be the last race for the current crew chief for Half Moon Racing. As ceo, I will be FIRING him after koh race. He has all year to help achieve our goals and to get us below 2.93. He just has not gotten the job done! Over the winter, we will find a new crew chief for Half Moon Racing that will allow us to meet our goals! ;D Good Luck to all Ed
