335'+ of Pinewood FuryAugust 28, 2010
Salt Lake City , Utah
Rio Tinto Soccer Stadium
Here is a track they had made specially for this event.
The track and joints needed allot more work.
They used a towel and concrete for the stopping section
Only a hand full cars made it all the way to the end past the 335' mark... (Edge Equipped) ;D
Most never made it to or past the 270' finish line marker

So did you guys have anything to do with this event outside of Jewkes products on cars? We had about 40 hours into organizing, track plans and a few meetings with the ones that put on the race... They decided not to use us and had someone else do it for them... ran away with some of our ideas ... We tried to explain to them what can happen with the track setup if it wasn't done properly... and if they would of had a race instead of just letting the kids play around on the track all day they would of had a better turn out... That was allot of setup and money spent for just playin around... I was there for about 1-1/2 and heard people say that this could of been better and why wasn't there a race? It could of been much more exciting if they would of done it right. It's to bad, I bet allot of them will not do it again next year because of the experience they had for this first event. We really wanted to help make this thing big. Oh well, I guess they wanted to learn for themselves
