I built 5 pure stocker so far. 2 are done. Pink Passion and bronze Beauty. Both are lead weighted, using JE 2.4 wheels,stock BSA axles, oil and they use slots. Both have been tested and are real terror's on the track. Hopefully the other three will be even faster. ;D
I am so getting my sub three patch this coming year...

pony: Don't over heat the axle. I did that once too and I had to resand the axle. Two seconds of the flame is all I did. I hold the axle in the drill chuck, heat it then immediately spin it against the silly putty. I then wipe the axle down by hand. Feb 23, 2018 22:02:58 GMT -7

pony: I do the same technique with the hard ski waxes which I use a lot. You can heat the axle or if you don't want to use the heat just hold the hard ski wax against the spinning axle. Use high speed. The ski wax transfers by friction and the heat of the spin. Feb 23, 2018 22:06:02 GMT -7

pony: Remember though you still need some form of silicone on the axle after the ski wax. Plastics on steel always needs silicone. I don't have the technical know how to do a video and post it. It's the same process as polishing compounds and polishing wheels. Feb 23, 2018 22:09:47 GMT -7
