When I say dry I mean dry lube. I didn't mean dry literally. I was thinking hobby lube would work fine. I think I'll try wet and dry and see how far the car rolls across my floor - I mean tuning table! LOL

Bones, We posted at the same time. So your saying dry lube ate your bearings? I guess there's no need for me to walk the mine field since you already have.

I tried HEL and Max-V and neither worked for me. do not put graphite in the bearings it is like puting sand in them...

OK, So I won't compare dry and wet lube. I'll stick with wet on bearings. Thanks everyone for the replies!

Yes I have been using the boca bearing high speed lube for a several years.
tried alot of things for cubmobile and found this and we also use it for soap box derby.
I also have found that using a wheel spinner to break in the wheel bearings work very well also.
I built one for the cubmobile and soap box derby cars.
This is a smaller app, but just figure out your average speed for the car and run the wheel bearings at that speed with lube for 10 to 20 minutes and you should see improved speed results.
I only know of one other lube that works very well also.
before wd30 added water, there very old stuff did not and was a goody, but not around anymore.
