Here are some pics of the 5 charger variants coming from Kentucky to race on Saturday. This is my baby boys entry. We called it "Yellow Snow". I guess yellow and white made us think of that.. His mama calls him Goat for some reason, so Goat Motorsports only made sense. Next we have my oldest son's entry. He liked the movie Super Troopers, so he wanted to go with Team Ramrod. His car is named "Farva". Johnny Chimpo is also riding along on the side of the car. Anyone who has seen this movie will know what we are talking about. This white top beauty is from the Motown Racing builder John McDaid. I work with him and he just fell in love with the Door Slammr' concept and will be doing it again next month as well. This is the "Red Baron" by my other son Sugar Dog Racing. Plain Jane, but it runs pretty well. This one is mine. Not too many extras on it like bumpers, etc. If it is not made of lead, I did not want it on the car ;D This will be our first time, so please go easy on us guys! I'll catch up with you all on Saturday.

Nice detail on all the cars! How do you make your own decals?

Nice detail on all the cars! How do you make your own decals? I use Corel Draw and Photoshop to make the text and designs. I have a color laser printer and I use waterslide decal paper from Tango Papa Decals. The decals went on nice and looked great, but I put on some Duplicolor Enamel clear and it kinda messed them up a bit. Not sure if I need better paper or if I need different clear.

Thanks! I wasn't sure there was an outlet for the waterslide paper, I'll check that out.
I had big problems with clearcoat, it pretty much orange peeled the whole car, had to re-sand and start all over, decided against the clear coat idea. Was using all Krylon paints and clear coat.
I think the plastic in the model is reacting to it.

I'm pretty scared now seeing those moonshine runners from Kentucky! Maybe I could have my Daytona pulled and ran in the turtle race! Hey Kentucky cars. I heard running STP on your axles is really fast! Suppose to use plenty of it too!

I think a mixture of your talcum powder and STP would be the fastest. Now the secret is out.

What, you mean the track we have to race on is STRAIGHT? Crap, I put all that stagger in the wheels with.... I am pretty sure all it wants to do is turn corners..! ;D

Lester, It's a dirt track too. So you better cut some treads in those BSA wheels. That along with my STP trick and your talcum powder. This way you will be able to keep up with the pack.

Isn't that how all this got started, Kentucky, Moonshine, NASCAR! David's gonna have to pull out "Dueling Banjos" or the "Dukes of Hazzard" soundtrack for the video. Maybe both given the number of entries. Throw some Charlie Daniels on the end for good measure. ;D YEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAW!Bubba
