Cars are going out in the mail today. I'll be at my daughters dance recital Saturday night, so I may be joining the race a little late.
Question to fellow racers, how many runs on a set of wheels before you pull them to clean out any graphite build-up? My stocker was running high 2.93's and now low to mid 2.94's. I think it's time to clean axles and wheels and re-polish bores.
Good luck to everyone.

I think humidity is the problem. We are having a lot of rain and the humidity is high. I have the car sitting in a dryer at 95 F for a couple of hours. That should take care of any moisture the graphite may have absorbed. We shall see.

I am going to send a car tomorrow.. . I dont know how well it will do. The body is one that was broken pretty badly in my car crash. :'(the axles are unbent ones from different cars. The wheels are a mix and match to try to get a full set (all I need is three) I guess I should call it frankenstien. PS; for those who were not paying attention all my cars were in my trunk when my car was totaled. Jettwash

Well Frankenstein is on its way Not one wheel is a match with the others. All the axles are ones that were bent in the crash. I got them as straight as I could. The car looks like crap.... parts of the body is held together by super glue.I didn't even have time to test it. But my son wanted to send his car that won in his districts ..because of the crash his car was pieced together too. It is not as fast as it was at his pack race ... but it still won at districts ... so we will see how it does against the best. Jettwash and my sons Team Jett

Here's all that Barnburner Racing could muster this month. We just seem to have too much going on! We call her "Unfinished Business"! Gee, I wonder why?! As long as she runs better than she looks!!!!!

HA HA! Good eyes Mood!
Truth be told, that's my boy's race day tool box that he totes his cars to/from the scout races in. He was having trouble getting the feel for the spray cans earlier this year so I set him up with one of my old toolboxes to 'practice' on. Well, just like everything else PWD related, it turned into a big production complete with his name in a couple of places, sponsors, stencils, etc...!
I will say though, the Testors Custom Decal Maker (we got ours at Hobby Lobby) is awesome! Both the PDDR logo and the Barnburner logo in these shots are custom decals applied over a white base-coat. I finished it off with a couple of coats of Duracoat to help them survive the beating that toolboxes take and couldn't be happier with the result.
Best of luck to everyone on Sat. I didn't get much of a chance to align "Unfinished Business" this morning @ 4AM! I hope she runs better than she looks so I have the motivation to finish her as intended (and probably enter her again under a better name!)!

I'm starting to get the shakes.its almost time ;D. I thought it was just me... LOL I did talk to Young Gun yesterday, and he is expecting to finish his Stocker and overnight it for the Illinois Pinks race. He gave me the usual "sandbagger" routine about not enough time to tune properly, etc. etc. Guess we'll see on Saturday... Bubba p.s. I picked up 2 new models for future Slammr's yesterday, I think I'm addicted

Hey- Sorry if the answer to my question is already posted somewhere else, but everyone keeps mentioning a "conference" for the races. I'm guessing its some kind of live feed of the races, but I have no idea how it works.
If i'm able to somehow logon somewhere to watch our car get its rear kicked, that would be fun!
Please let me know what I gotta do!
Thanks!
