Oh man.... If copying other peoples cars is a rule infraction then I have to throw away everything I've ever built!!

I mean, I would probably go as far as to copy what kind of underwear LA Sound and Jewkes were wearing the night of the races hoping some of their speed would rub off on me.

Just don't get it.

Running the Punk with graphite got times ranging from 2.997 to 3.006, couldn't get any better. Pulled everything cleaned it up, put back on car and lubed up with juice and now getting 2.987 to 2.995 (my personal fastest times). I always seem to get better times with oil on Pure Stockers and better times with graphite on all others. Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze just a little more out of the Punk. ;D

Nice cars Leo, it's going to be an awesome month for Pure Stockers.

pony: Don't over heat the axle. I did that once too and I had to resand the axle. Two seconds of the flame is all I did. I hold the axle in the drill chuck, heat it then immediately spin it against the silly putty. I then wipe the axle down by hand. Feb 23, 2018 22:02:58 GMT -7

pony: I do the same technique with the hard ski waxes which I use a lot. You can heat the axle or if you don't want to use the heat just hold the hard ski wax against the spinning axle. Use high speed. The ski wax transfers by friction and the heat of the spin. Feb 23, 2018 22:06:02 GMT -7

pony: Remember though you still need some form of silicone on the axle after the ski wax. Plastics on steel always needs silicone. I don't have the technical know how to do a video and post it. It's the same process as polishing compounds and polishing wheels. Feb 23, 2018 22:09:47 GMT -7
