MY son an I have a race in 1 week, we have used tungsten putty in the past and have done very well, top 3 placement and districts. My question is about placement of weight . I usually have made a 1 x 1 hole in the bottom about 1 inch center in front of rear axle, doing much more research this year and finding this page I want to do better. Would I get better COG if I place the putty right in front of the rear axle. plz help. thanx

You want to get weight behind the rear axle. but first off you I would need to know how much your car body weighs. how much wood is still left on the body shape? If I have a light car body that weighs around .5 oz's I like to have 2.0 oz behind the rear axle and 2.0 oz's in front of the rear axle...
