These are the most recent cars we built... from the end of our first season. The first blue and silver is a car my son built with me helping out on the tuning and final wet coats of paint. He won his Bear's Division and tied for first overall... winning two of the four heats and second in the other two. Average time was used as the tie-breaker and he lost by 3/100 sec. Great first effort regardless. THAW_ 108175 by John Thawley, on Flickr THAW_ 108152 by John Thawley, on Flickr

nice cars, good photography too, I like the reflection in the carbon fiber you have underneath them. You got a head-on shot of that second car with the canopy? It's got a real cool looking nose on it.

It's got a real cool looking nose on it. Here you go. FYI, we were sloping the nose down between the faux fender shapes. Suddenly a hole appeared... it was the axle hole from the high side. I was actually pleased because it allowed for lowering the front of the slope... we kept filing/sanding and worked in the scoop. THAW_ 108157 by John Thawley, on Flickr

Really nice looking cars John, if you don't mind me asking, what is the canopy made from? Kind of looks like a spoon cut into shape. 3.5oz tungsten.
