Planning on sending two cars this week for my first time with the PDDR and was wondering what are the rules as far as the weight goes, is there a tolerance on the five ounce?, will PDDR weight a car that is under or over to meet the requirements?,will PDDR lube wheels before the race?,the weight thing is important to me because I put on a PWD race at my church and we have had cars that were to weight one year and come back again the next year and they are seriously over weight, I weighed my cars today and they are over but the humidity is high today also, maybe this is why???

When it comes to weight, they can not exceed 5 ounces. I believe the PDDR scale only measures to the Hundredths of an ounce. So you have a few thousands leeway. Glad you decided to join the fun...looking forward to seeing your cars race.

So do most of you guys leave a place to add weight or remove weight if needed on race day?, I have scales that read three place decimal so I can get it right on but humidity and air pressure at that time of weighing is a factor I believe.

Jeremy,
Welcome to PDDR and league racing. We are always glad to get new racers involved. To answer your questions, I do not believe the PDDR staff will weight your cars for you. Your best bet is to leave it a tad under weight. I think 4.99 will be perfect no matter what the humidity. I have never heard anyone talk about cars gaining that much weight just with humidity. My car i sent this month weighed 5.00 oz. on my scales.
As for the PDDR lubing for you..... NO! They have enough to do on race days to not worry about lubing cars. If you graphite or oil your cars before you send them, they will be fine.
Again, welcome aboard and everyone on this board is very helpful and any questions you have, post them and you will get great help and tips from some of the greatest league racers in this sport.
Ian

Hello and welcome We use a scale that reads to 5.0 and is 143 grams. If you have a scale thats read 5.000 and make your cars at 5.00 - 5.000 you will be fine... Also if you all not sure then make a hole in the bottom so you can put some extra weight in... if heavy on our scale we can take a little out of the extra pocket... Have fun David
