WOW!. I can see why David is called the Paint Ninja. Those cars look like they belong on the top shelve. Great work.

That black flame paint ninja car is all mine. ;D Its too nice to race, and it is my trailer queen. Nightmare It's hard to pick a favorite from all the cars that David has painted, but if I had to pick one, your car would be the one. Love the mirror finish and love the chromalusion absolute purpleen on black! ;D

I just wanted to add my car that was painted by David. The picture does not do it justice. It blows your mind in person.

I certainly haven't forgot about this! and I think the wait will be worth it as I took pictures of all stages as I painted my Mid-America Derby Cars (see below in my signature).
I of course waited until the last minute to build these cars and was up until 2am all of last week (and somewhat late the week before) getting them ready for Saturday's race. Needless to say the document got put on the backburner to the car builds. (and as I'll be writing a post on soon was well worth it. Not only did my cars finish really well, the Mid-America Race was an awesome event!

FINALLY I have the document completed and available for download or viewing. It ended up being 22 pages, and figuring out how to distribute it was going to a problem, until I decided I would just take the afternoon off and not only finish the document, but create a new webpage that I've been wanting to do for several years now. (Many thanks to as I learned about webs.com as that's who he uses to create/host his website) The webpage needs a lot of work yet, but the basics are there and you'll have no problem finding the document: Here's the link: exorcist3d.webs.com/ and then look for the "Ultimate Painting 101" page link at the top.

Thanks 3D. I have been contemplating getting away from rattle cans to allow me to do some more creative stuff. Your summary does a great job of explaining what products are needed and a good primer on getting started. Well done

As the originator of this thread, THANKS!!!!
I learned a lot. The airbrush you picture is an HP-CS. Nice system. TCP and Coast Airbrush have versions as well. I have never used one, but I will now.
Excellent job on the gotchas and landmines waiting for us on the decals!
Thanks again, Rick
