I've learned that oil is better for a larger diameter axle. Can any of the "official bsa wheel and axles" experts chime in on using oil with the smaller axles?
Assuming it's properly applied will it be faster than graphite?

Yes, I meant smaller as in diameter of a scout axle. Sorry about that. I know this is a very "vague newbie type " question but I'm gonna go ahead and ask... please be easy on me Assuming all things are equal and you had 2 identical cars (which I know isn't possible but) how much speed do you think you could pick up if one was lubed with graphite and one with oil? Did that switch occur during a pack or district race? That sound totally crazy to try that in between runs for sure. I will dig for those other posts to learn more.

I gained .04 when I changed over to krytox and another. 005 going to MB mix. It is faster than plain old krytox. Big thanks to MB for spending hours on the phone with me. The DVD drastically improved my speed. I am ready to go for the league racing.

Thanks guys.
Rogue, good luck in the league.
I'll see how we do and maybe I'll build a car to send in if my new knowledge picks us up any speed...
1st I need a cool name hmm.... Spotmonster Racing....

I should expand- The axle diameter change gives you a car length advantage. JE wheels over BSA give an additional advantage. Oil over most graphite is another advantage.

The axle diameter change gives you a car length advantage. That's HUGE!
