As some of you have already said any loss is tought but the loss of your father is extremely difficult, I lost my father a few years back at the age of 55, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer at a very early stage, which was good. After talking with his doctors he decided to have the cancer removed now while it was still in a very small area and stage. Once they removed the cancer and he started to get himself ready to get back to work 2 weeks after the procedure, we had just spoke on tuesday, about how he was feeling, he was starting to get his appetite back and feeling pretty good. The phillies were playing the rays in the world series, we are huge sports fans and being from the philly area this was great and wed. was going they were going to replay the rest of game 5. Unfortunately that would be the last time I spoke with my father. It was the hardest experience I ever had to deal with in my whole life, thankfully when I turned 18 I was able to spend alot more time with my dad ( my parents were divorced and he lived 500 miles away so at a young age it was hard for him to be very involved.) I just remember all the good times we had together, getting him to his 1st eagles game at the Linc, our talks on the phone about our work and how to deal with different work situations, and to our family vacations we did every year.
For anyone who has a loss like that is is very hard and takes alot of time to get better, but I promise you it does and they would want you to continue to do well and look after your family and friends. Amazing how a few typed words and thoughts has my ears watered up..
