I forgot to make this clear to all those that enter a car in the races.
When you make a name for your cars you can not use a number for the first Letter in it's name. examples: 2muchspeed, 007, 7even, 2fast...
The race management software won't accept numbers to start a name, but you can use a number in the name as long as the name starts with a letter. Also no symbols to be used in the names...
Examples: NO: =+-_)(*&^%$#@!~":;<.,?'/\}{[] symbols
If you want a number in your name start the name with a letter. Thank you..
examples: SS&S change to SSnS LA2, CUL8R, toslo4me, go4it...
If anyone else wants to make a change make a post in here so I can make the changes...

We've got a bit of a newbie question/request. In trying to choose names for some of our cars (we've never really named cars before) we paged back through nearly all of last year's races to make sure we didn't duplicate a name that had already been used by someone else. Needless to say, it was a bit tedious. What would everyone think of a new thread dedicated to posting car names (past and present) to have them all in (1) place and to avoid duplication?

Thats is a great idea ... ;D I will see if I can round them up... Thanks A1. I was thinking that everyone could post what names they've used. I didn't intend to make another addition to your 'to-do' list! Thanks for the effort in this and everything PDDR, hands down the best around (IMHO!).

I didn't intend to make another addition to your 'to-do' list! Thanks for the effort in this and everything PDDR, hands down the best around (IMHO!). Pinewood Colleagues, Thanks to the long holiday weekend, Aaron and I have been able to go back through the archives and compile a spreadsheet of what we believe to be every PDDR entry since 2006 (nearly (800) entries in all classes!). The question is now, what to do with it? Glenn, David, Mood, PM me with an email address (or three) and I'll send you the file to post and then we could update it each month (just like the standings and such). Or, I don't mind keeping it up to date and having potential new names sent to me to check prior to registration day each month. Whatever works best. I was surprised how few duplicates there were, most of which are probably the same builder with a different builder name that I'm failing to connect together. Nonetheless, it was a blast paging through the PDDR history and watching the league grow and develop. We're looking forward to June!!!!! We've got a new (to PDDR) Pure Stocker (Aaron's Arrow) waiting for her new Edge Pure Stockers and a tune-up. With a little luck we'll break out of our mid-pack funk, join the sub-3 club and post a few points this time around!!!!

I've been trying to figure out a name for the '53 Ford Pickup Door Slammr', and I'm kinda stuck. It finally occurred to me that I could just call it "Jovi Dude" , but I'm not sure if that name has been used before... Now I'll be able to check ;D Bubba p.s. Dibs on "Jovi Dude" if it's not on the list already

Hey Yard:
You didn't happen to capture the list of Builder Names also, did you?
It's quite possible that I will have 3 cars to run in Door Slammr's sometime soon and I will have to come up with a 3rd builder name.
The 3rd car will likely be from one of my boys, and while I would venture to guess that "Stinky George Racing" hasn't been used before, it would be interesting to see what other names have already been taken.
Regards,
Bubba
p.s. I know, I know... I'm "obsessed" , I'm "a Slammr'head", "my brains got a thin plastic shell on it" - hope you Chris Farley fans are enjoying this...

Sure did. I figured I was going through them all anyway, I may as well gather as much info as I could. Although, I did stop short of recording times. That seemed like a bit much considering the initial goal.
PM me with your email address and I'll send you a copy of the spreadsheet. I'll sort it by builder name and you should have all you need.
