I noticed in the March stock photos that there is a wide range of rail guides being used. What material is being used for the "bent post" type like #1 MB4Hire / LA2, shark fin style and that really cool thin wire on #16 JB07 / White Out.
Do you make your own or buy them?

I make mine out of the tip of plastic silverware - specifically the knife.

That explains the full speed tackle you put on me yesterday when I was about to throw my plastic knife in the garbage. Ian

We've been making ours from thin wall aluminum tube, 3/32" OD. It's easy to bend, easy to polish and allows us to use the the standard axle hole in case we change our minds and want to enter the car in a different class requiring four wheels.

I have been cutting mine out of the bottom of the tubes the wheels come in.
I can still use the container for storing wheels.
Xacto out what I want and can still use the tube.
