Hey guys,
I have my sons car with 2.5 degrees of cant on the back and 1.5 on front , when i roll the car on my table the wheels in the back stay away from the body(front and back wards) but when i run it down the track the front goes to the rail at about 4-5 foot mark then bounce back and forth a couple of times the rest of the way down the track..
Any ideas as to what may be the problem or how to fix ??
thanks

The front dom hole should be drilled straight, then bend the front axle to give it the cant and steer. You adjust it by twisting the axle. If you do this and still can't get it to steer harder into the rail, the axle may need to be bent more. My cars usually hit the rail in the first couple inches.

Where exactly did you make your bend and how did you do it? Plus if your rear wheel behind your dom wheel is dragging it will screw up your steer. Also if your front dom wheel has too much clearance can cause trouble. There is a lot of things that could be wrong. Did you drill with the Jewkes BLOCK?

Have you tried setting one up? That would tell us a lot more about what may be going on.

That bender tool has been proven not to work well. What did you do to prep your axles? Believe me when I say this. Sell all of those tools. Buy the Jewkes BLOCK, axles and wheels. Then all your problems will be solved.

you can use up to 4 degrees down on fdw with no problem but tell more about car.wheels axles weight. did you offset front of car on fdw side.i have had that problem before i had a bad axle on rear of car.need to keep steer within 12"or less at 8' of roll thats my 2 cents. you need to go more on polishing axles .MB4hire poilshing kit

i was told steel wool was higher my bad. the car weights 5 oz. with the weith low and at the back, approx 3/4 com. I left the back wheel on the dominate side a little farther out approx 1-16 than the front.

Did you taper the body on the DFW side 1/16th of an inch?
How long before your race?
